Oak-Griner Christian Preschool is one of the oldest church-operated daycare facilities in Ocala. This year, 2011, is our thirty-fourth year of providing quality child care for the families in Ocala/Marion County.

The supreme goal of our Christian Preschool is character training. While education is extremely important and ultimately our primary objective, it accomplishes little without instilling in each boy and girl good moral Christian standards. 

 

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. 

 

 This is the directive from scripture upon which we base our daily learning plans for each age group.

At the same time, skill development is set into motion. We work on listening, fine motor coordination, eye-hand coordination, visual perception, pre-reading and math skills and gross motor development. As children complete the preschool/pre-K program at Oak-Griner, they are equipped with necessary early literacy skills. With this foundational learning, each child is more than ready to meet the challenges of elementary education.

 

As you can see, God has given us a major undertaking that we take very seriously, realizing we have to answer to the one who has begun this work in us, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May He be our main focus as we are reminded of his words, "Let the little children come unto me." Matthew 19:14.
